What does birth professionals and Bordeaux have in common? Probably Nothing. But we enjoy the occasional glass of wine or 2 when we are off call together.
Once a season, A Joyful Journey hosts a birth professionals get together at our home office in New Lenox. The goal is to support one another, just like we support our clients. Our get togethers include lots of appetizers and desserts (definitely not a diet day), business strategies, stories, and a whole lot of support. A healthy person makes sure she/he takes time for themselves. We do this at these events. We share ideas, laugh together, cry together, work together.
The birth professionals include: midwives, doulas, lactation specialists, and educators. Our group is always changing. In the 2 years we've been hosting these functions, one thing remains the same: These are women who want to grow their business, want to develop business relationships, new friendships, and new insight. These are the women you want at your birth!
We aren't afraid to be real with each other. We are passinate about helping families at all hours. We are juggling successful businesses, motherhood, and friendship.
This post is for them. We cherish you. We have learned from you. We genuinely enjoy your company. We would love to see you at the next get together! We love you.
